Weinam Street jetty (Redland Bay)

Introduction

We are committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality boating infrastructure for Queensland communities.

Repair works to the Weinam Street jetty in Redland Bay form part of this commitment, ensuring the facility remains safe, reliable and fit for purpose for recreational boating and community use for years to come.

Project overview

We are leading the delivery of repair works at the Weinam Street jetty, maintaining high-quality marine infrastructure that meets community needs.

These works will support marine safety and enhance recreational boating opportunities, ensuring the jetty continues to operate effectively and safely.

Project features

The works will maintain and improve the condition of the existing jetty, extending its service life and ensuring safe access for users.

Scope of works

The repair works will include:

  • repairs to jetty concrete elements
  • fender pile repairs
  • minor repairs and replacements including: lighting; water tap; mooring cleats

Timing of works – effective mid-July 2026

  • Mid-July 2026: Onsite works scheduled to commence following the July school holiday period
  • Late September 2026: Expected completion, weather and conditions permitting to minimise disruption, works have been scheduled during the winter months.

Access during construction

For public safety and efficient delivery, the Weinam Street jetty will be temporarily closed for the duration of works.

Alternative recreational boating access is available at the Redland City Council-owned boat ramps and floating walkway at Weinam Creek, located approximately 2 kilometres south of the Weinam Street jetty.

Boaties and pedestrians are advised to take extra caution around the worksite, both on land and in-water and follow all signage and contractor directions.
