Boatshare schemes

A boatshare scheme is any arrangement involving the shared use of a ship for recreational or commercial use. These are variously referred to as fractional ownership, time-share, syndicates, club share, boat-share and trust schemes.

Maritime Safety Queensland released a boatshare policy information paper for comment in late 2007. A policy has been finalised and is now in effect.
