Prohibited discharge of sewage — Moreton Bay Marine Park
The new zoning plan for Moreton Bay Marine Park commenced on 1 March 2009. Compliance with the new zoning plan will be enforced by the Department of Environment and Resource Management and its compliance partners from this date.
A number of changes have been made to the zoning for Moreton Bay Marine Park that will be of interest to boat owners and operators. Of particular note, as of 1 March 2009, vessels must not discharge any waste, including treated or untreated sewage, in marine national park (green) zones.
